How long does Botox last and when do I begin to see results?
Botox generally lasts about 4 months. It begins to work within a few days and can take up to 2 weeks to see full effect.
Is there anyone that should not get Botox?
We do not do Botox on pregnant women. There are some patients with rare neurological disorders that cannot have Botox (ex. Myasthenia gravis)
Any post-procedure precautions?
The only restrictions are not having the head down for a prolonged period: no massages or exercise like yoga where you are face down.
Any post-procedure recommendations?
After the procedure I have patients use the muscle groups to have the Botox actively taken up in the muscles after the first hour.
Are there any risks?
The main risks of Botox are from the injection. Occasional bruising, mild soreness and occasional headache. Allergic reactions are extremely rare.
